Pennies are good, but it will take a while, if you want instant gratification, coloured sand looks good, or glass marbles. Or you just put a couple dried flowers in there. Man I am so macho!!!
My husband was thinking it would take years to fill it and our children could have it someday. We just found his dad's old stash of coins when they were cleaning out his garage. We counted over $425.00 in change. It wasn't in this bottle though.
How about glass stones, or real stones, of various colors, and/or sand, colored or not, and/or seashells... Looking up, I see WT and I have the same ideas, LOL. Flowers would be pretty, if you could get them in there safely. Or make one of those collapsable ships to put in there! ;)
Yes, it would get heavy fast with coins. That's why I was trying to decide if i wanted to do anything different with it. Maybe something light like peacock feathers?

We have a jar like that that we use for change too. If you come up with a better idea let me know!
I was going to say pennies too.
I think change is a great idea!
that works!

See now, I'd probably go the route of pepples or marbles or something.. or maybe layer something different every month?
Pennies. Marbles. Dried Flowers. Sand. Stones. Etc...

Yeah, my son suggested the ship. :D I put some giant poppies in there earlier and they looked great.
I like the glass stones idea - I think that would be very pretty.
When I bartended in college, I'd use a big jar to collect my loose quarters - those add up quicker than pennies!
I like the idea of something different every month, something important.
I love the idea of layers of different things like Mishelle mentioned. Some could be pennies, then stones, etc.
Layers of different things ... coloured glass beads or jelly beans/smarties mmm
My WW is up

Before you start filling it with pennies, make sure you find a good place to store it. It'll get really heavy fast!

If not pennies, maybe Skittles? They're colourful! :-)
Thanks for visiting my post.
Hope you had a happy Weekly Winners day!
Yup pennies too. We have one with pennies that the kids love to fill.
I have always wanted a bottle like that to save our change to go on a big trip, but never got around finding one.
Great idea!
