Hannan Coulter by Wendell Berry:
Hannah is a member of Port William, Kentucky. She is twice widowed, alone, and in her seventies when she recalls her childhood, young love and loss, and raising children. She has strong opinions (some of the author) about old ways and how they should remain. It is interesting to get the insight of an older generation. It gave me some understanding and good thoughts to remember. I liked the grandmother the most of all the characters in the book. I think you will too. about the author by John Colapinto:
"Just how did Cal Cunningham-a twenty-five-year-old bookstore stockboy who is new to Manhattan and who has never written anything---publish a bestselling novel that sells to the movies for a million dollars?" "About the Author" is his first-person account of how he performed this remarkable feat." This was a very readable book. I was satisfied with the ending. It is pretty explicit, just so you know. The Reader by Bernhard Schlink:
Please tell me in the comments which book you would like and I will set a deadline of next Monday evening.
*Time's up. I will post the winners tomorrow. Thanks for entering.

Do I really have to choose? I would read all of those.
I guess The Reader sounds the most fascinating, but I also want to read about the author.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Well, Allison, if you're the only person that enters, I will have to give you all of them! Hee hee.
I'm with Allison - I'd read all three! Isn't The Reader that is the one up for something in the Oscars?
Gosh - having to choose. Okay Since Allison has dibs on the last three - I'll go for the first!
What fun!
Aims: I only have three books, one copy of each to give away. You want to read Hannah Coulter?
Oh man - hard choice because I would read all three too!
Okay - put me down for About the Author.
Well they all sound good but if I had to choose it would be Hannah Coulter.
So nice of you! Let's see here, I've already read The Reader and really liked it so how about....about the author. It sounds like it would be something I would read. Lots of luck to everyone who entered!
Oh my yes, Hannah Coulter! Just the sort of book I would so enjoy! Sounds wonderful.
Besides, my great great grandparents moved to Missouri, from Horse Cave, KY. I have a little KY connection!
Oh, I would love to have any one of the three...possibly hand-delivered...
Will be flying your direction next week...
