Fun Monday

Peter is our host with the most this week.
Here are his instructions for FUN:

I want you to tell us your favorite joke and/or show us
your favorite cartoon, don’t worry if there is some
duplication that just means more than one person
found it funny.
So come on and regale us with your best joke and/or
cartoon, remember its New Years Eve and we feel
like a good laugh, before 2008 comes along and does its thing on us.

PS, I've left myself too much time to think about this..... we all have
more than one favorite, Right!! hit us with your best selection!!!!!

This appeared in our newspaper under "Reasons Not to Mess with Children."
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale
to swallow a human because even though it was a very
large mammal its throat was very small.  The little girl
stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.  Irritated,
the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a
human; it was physically impossible.  The little girl said,
"When I get to Heaven I will ask Jonah."  The teacher asked,
"What if Jonah went to hell?"  The little girl replied, "Then
you ask him."

Calvin and Hobbes understandably is a favorite of the Fun Monday crowd. Watterson not only is very funny, but his drawings are incredibly cute.

Happy New Year

Great joke! And Calvin and Hobbes RULE! I love the quote you included from Schulz - the expressions on Calvin's face often totally MADE the cartoon.
