Fun Monday

I didn't know if I would do Fun Monday this week. I need to clean my house thoroughly. I thought I might post a short one about a website that I found that really did help me. It will probably sound silly but I had never seen a blog before Ree's Pioneer Woman. I was feeling very sad after my dad had passed away and it helped me tremendously to read her blog and laugh. I began to realize that blogging might be something I could do too. I checked out some of her reader's blogs like Janet. I asked her a few questions and got started. It was very helpful to me to record my feelings about Dad and now to blog for fun and post pictures that I take. I needed something like this and reading other's blogs has been pure entertainment and even friendship. It's great!

I found that Breathe Right Strips have helped me through four nights better sleeping. I really hate the sticky strip stuck to my nose but they have helped me breathe better through the night and that's all that matters. Maybe they're also good exfoliators! Sure does hurt to peel them off. :D
Head on over to Ann's for more Fun Monday happiness.

Great post. I was just wondering earlier how many of us found each other through the comment section at Ree's.

I am glad she helped you deal with the loss of your dad.

Great post.

I know I found Fun Monday through Ree's blog. Not that Ree mentioned it nor anyone in her comments I clicked on a commenter named Jenni in KS and her post was a FM post. But I can;t credit Ree as I never would have found Ree or blogging if it weren't for my BFF Fianna. Anyway, I am glad Ree helped you.
I LOVE your new header!

It took me awhile, but I finally got into reading the Pioneer Woman. Now I'm hooked. Well ok maybe not hooked but I make my way there once a week with a nice cup of tea and it's a great way to break up my day. And I'm LOL at your comment on the breathe right strips being used as an exfoliator because they stick so much. My husband tried them and squealed like a little girl when it came time to take it off!

I'm glad you were able to find an outlet to help you get over your dad's death. Blogging helped me also. I found blogging just a little before he passed. I'm glad I found the blogging world, it has been so great meeting so many neat people like you!

I bet your blog was a wonderful outlet for you.

I wear those Breathe Right strips during allergy season. Hubby thinks they're very sexy (not).

I've been to Pioneer Woman's blog several times, she does have a beautiful blog.

It's been a while, I think I will pop on over and see what's going on over there. Glad you were able to find a place in the blogosphere that helped you feel not so alone. That's what I love about blogging.

Have a great Monday!

Good point about blogs being the website that changed your life. I think that's probably true for a lot of us!

Pioneer woman has a great blog, but I have to say I found a lot of new blogs through fun monday. I think it's wonderful to be part of a big community and to be sharing different aspects of our lives.

Oh, I meant to say--love the blue bottles on your header. I have some too ---I finally put them on two of my windows about 2 weeks ago. I love blue bottles and blue glass. But I constantly struggle with what is clutter and what is not (only in our society, eh?). What is the book about called, Girl with the Pearl Earrings?--I am not familiar with that one. All your kids in college eh? I have one left in college the other two are done!! So glad to see them doing things they love. My daughter was able to get her Doctor's degree , but now is at home being a mom! My Oldest son is out in WA and doing work for microsoft. It is always so wonderful to see how God leads our kids and uses them!

Nannykim: How I love cobalt blue! The light coming through the window makes the blue so beautiful to look at. I could just stare for ever at them.
The Girl with the Pearl Earring is an excellent book. She writes about the Dutch painter Vermeer and the subject in his painting, creating a fictional story about her life and who she might have been. It is fascinating to read and imagine being there too.
My daughter will graduate in May with a BS in nursing. The other two have a couple more years.

My first blog experience was through another blogger who helped me find a way to sort through things also by reading their posts.
