Turtle Soup

Look what comes out after a nice big storm. A nice big snapping turtle.
We were woken up by sirens going off in town about two miles
from us warning of a tornado.  The tornado touched down one
mile from us taking part of a neighbor's roof top.  Fortunately,
it was a small tornado.  We had lots and lots of rain quickly
flooding ponds and roadways.  Also our electricity was off
from 5 am to 2 pm, so I didn't get much Fun Monday visits
done.

Kitties didn't pay any attention to the turtle at all.  Boy,
old Spunky would have gone crazy over him.  Spunky ate
small box turtles and terrapins.

Have you ever had turtle soup?

Thank you, WT. I wonder why people do that? I had one of those on my comments yesterday too. Do you think using word verification would help? Or simply just not clicking on them would work, of course. Thanks for warning me. Geez! What joy do people get out of corrupting pcs?

There must be one bad apple in the bunch anymore. I really why people have to mess up a good thing.
Glad that you are safe from the tornado. Can't wait for the warm weather, but I don't look forward to the storms it can bring.
Have a nice day.

...Glad to hear that you didn't get washed away! We had the same thing here yesterday - water rushing over the roads, creeks flooded over their banks, ponds running over, it was a mess...

...And no thanks for the turtle soup - I hope the cranky lil' fella didn't make it to no one's stew pot!

...Blessings... :o)

Ah, snapping turtles. I remember them from my days as a wee one in the woods of East Texas. We used to poke them with sticks and watch them snap the sticks in two. I secretly dreamed of feeding them my brother's fingers.
