Can You See the Real Me?
I am black and white, antique, and original. Will the real me please stand up?
We went to see Roger Daltrey of the Who and Eric Clapton last night at the BOK Center.
Roger Daltrey sang some classics such as "Behind Blue Eyes."
Clapton sang some classics such as "Layla" and "CrossRoads". One of my favorite songs he sang was "You Look Wonderful Tonight."
He sang "Rock and Roll Heart."
He also sang "Change the World."

But "You Look Wonderful Tonight" tops it for me!

WT: Did you see Clapton in Hyde Park back in 1966? I guess you aren't that old...

Ahh, a couple of things...Firstly he seemed a little old for 1966, then I noticed that it was 1996 (in 1966 he was still playing a Les Paul with John Mayall). And secondly, that's Hyde Park London, not Hyde Park Sydney.
I knew it was London but I just wondered when you had seen him? Was my humor lost?
Great photos.
"You Look Wonderful Tonight" was the song DH & I danced to at our wedding.
You are one lucky lady!!!!! Wish I could have been there!
Wow Clapton. I love his music. Did he have his rug with him on stage? I hope to see him in concert in May.
"Change The World" and "Wonderful Tonight" both are such beautiful songs. Not to forget "Tears in Heaven" - what a moving song.
I wasn't close enough to see the floor clearly but I wouldn't doubt the rug was there. That seems to be a really popular thing to have. My husband is a guitar player and Clapton has always been a favorite of his.
Just checking in --
I've seen Clapton on a TV commercial (from the super bowl?)
and I thought he had aged. But then haven't we all. sigh. well, maybe not you! snort
