Fun Monday-What's Your Line?

This week's Fun Monday hostess with the mostest is Mariposa.
Her wish is our command.  Please explain the meaning of your
blog's name or the origin of it or how you came up with it.  Well,
she didn't exactly use those words....and also name your favorite/
most common food.

God Put a Smile upon my Face.  He did.  It just seemed so natural
for me.  I have had people wonder why I smile at them.  I have tried
not smiling before but by golly it always pops out unexpectedly.  People
might think I'm flirting but I'm not and I smile equally at women and
men.  So I discovered this song by Coldplay.  It is the best ever.

My favorite/most common meal:  Tequila Lime Chicken
I wouldn't say this was my most common meal but one of
my favorites.  Anything with chicken would be my favorite.
I am posting the recipe from Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa.
She is awesome.

You can click on the recipe to enlarge it or enbiggen it as Peter likes to say. :D

That's a good smile you've got there. It's easier to smile that scowl anyway, due to the number of muscles involved. Plus it's such a powerful weapon, it can disarm almost anyone.

It's nice that you are always smiling ! I try to do it too because it's just nicer to look at a smiling face then at one you think the owner has just swallowed a bottle of vinegar !
and that recepe sounds nice ! but I would prefer to eat it already prepared, I became VERY lazy !!

WT is so wise.
I know I've said it before, you are beautiful, your smile is beautiful. God did bless you.

Yum... Tequila Lime Chicken is a fave of mine, never made it at home though. I am defiantly trying this recipe!

I meant comment about how I love Coldplay's music. I listened to the whole song, I hadn't heard that one til now.

Willowtree and Kaytabug: Thank you for the compliments. That smile is smiling now.

Gattina: I get some responses to my smile that look like vinegar has been taken. But that doesn't stop me. My mom had a hard life raising us kids and she always said before she went to sleep at night she put a smile on her face 'cause she wasn't going to let her troubles give her wrinkles!

I envy your natural smile-y-ness. I have to think about it.

WT is right. You have a lovely smile. Perhaps that is why you stay so youthful in your appearance.

I buy turkey loin in a tequila-lime marinate. We love it.

You have a beautiful smile. I'm a smiler, too. My husband told me yesterday that sometimes I'm just too damn cheery!

That chicken looks amazing. I'll have to give it a try soon!

What's the saying 'smile and the world smiles with you' and that's obviously the affect your lovely smile has on people!

Sauntering Soul said...

I smile at strangers too. Luckily, most people smile back but every now and then I get a scowl as if to say "how dare you smile at me". Those scowls just make me laugh because why would anyone want to be so miserable?

You do have a beautiful smile!

I'll take one of those tequila lime chickens, hold the chicken.

My grandmother always told me that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile so I should smile. I never did learn if that was true or not....(I was a serious kid who didn't smile a lot).

I love that Coldplay but hadn't listened to it in a long time.

Enbiggen. That's a great word.

combining the name with the tequilia dish - well, the agave is a very smile inducing plant. However, I am like you in that it is much easier to smile than not too. I am one of those half full or more type of guys, and if nothing else, it makes people wonder or even better, makes them wish they had something to smile about. And yes, I agree with everyone above, you have a great smile. Keep it on... NLM
